Mingus Homestead

1913. 1.2 miles east of Colorado 165 on Ditch Creek Rd. (NR)

For his homestead ranch, Alan Mingus built a one-and-one-half-story, four-room house of logs with a stone foundation and gable roof. His two-story, gabled barn has log walls covered with vertical boards. Outbuildings include a gabled shed with log foundation and milled lumber walls and an outhouse of vertical boards with a special child's potty seat.
