Edward West had Trinidad's leading architect design this three-story, red brick theater with its first-story balustrade and second-story round arches. Alterations and additions intrude on the interior, which retains its three tiers of seating and double-decker boxes. Nearby, at the northeast corner of Animas and Main, is the West Block (1889), a three-story brick building faced with native sandstone and with newer brick corbeling in place of the original stone cornice.
