Student Services Building

-A A +A
1930s? South of The Oval on East Dr.

Located between classic academic edifices on the Oval and modern ones on the south and west part of the campus, this Streamline Moderne structure reflects the transition to modern architecture with its irregular plan, rounded corners, flat roofs, and steppedback massing. Panels of stucco are set into the corners and flank the third-story windows across the main facade. Numerous terraces and the multipaned steel casement windows add interest to the clean lines of this cream brick building. Unusual circular stepped-back towers house interior staircases.
