Colorado National Bank

-A A +A
1985, Michael Barber Architecture. White to Rood aves. between 3rd and 5th sts.

This striking composition features an abstracted arcade of pink-tinted concrete that joins the main bank with a drive-in facility, then continues across North 4th Street to define a parking area. The rectangular buildings are faced with large, mirrored panels above bases of polished pink granite. This minimalist superblock complex responds creatively to neighboring ecclesiastical and government buildings and borrows its pink concrete color and stepped massing from the surrounding mesas.
