Established as the Pioneer Bank of Saguache County, with Isaac Gotthelf as president, this narrow, single-story brick bank was given a facelift in 1913, when the Denver Terra Cotta Company applied a classical pedimented facade of terracotta, limestone, and marble. Elegant columns flank the entry in an elaborate composition for so small a structure. Since 1927 the building has been used as a store, a cold storage locker, and a residence.
