Massed as a series of squat pavilions, this modernist single-story white brick building by Brittain Construction demonstrates subtle decorative and spatial features. The offset pavilions energize the lot with their staggered arrangement, varying the distance from the sidewalk, an effect enhanced by perforated concrete-block screens framing the corners and the midpoint of the verandas. Above, a shallow-pitched roof turns into a low mansard roof. Decoratively, the long flat Roman split-face white brick is laid in running bond set off by slightly projecting pilasters of the same bricks, which provide rhythm and order.
