Country Club District

-A A +A
Bounded by S.E. 2nd Ave. and Country Club Pkwy., between 23rd and 27th streets S.E.

This is an excellent example of a pre-World War II subdivision, with curved streets, extensive planting, large individual lots, and no sidewalks to suggest that this is the country not the city. The single-family houses range in style from the Colonial to the English medieval half-timber.
