now Saint George Greek Orthodox Church
1906, Proudfoot and Bird. Northwest corner 35th St. and Cottage Grove Ave.

The gabled front of a classical Greek temple of the Doric order sits atop a Roman podium. Tall doors lead into a simple volume behind. The enclosed pediment of the gable with its projected beam ends and the stout fluted Ionic columns are all strongly three dimensional.
