Platner House

-A A +A
c. 1890, attrib. Marsden Keyes. 725 1st St. W.

Keyes turned to the Queen Anne image for this house, though his interpretation of it was a little on the old-fashioned side. A singular feature of the design is the three-story corner tower with its steeply pitched gable roof; it ends up reading as part of the house, not as a tower.
