McBride (Burger) Covered Bridge

1870–1871, J. P. Clark, builder. Proceed north from Winterset on Hwy. 169 to county road G4R, east on G4R for 7.3 miles to gravel road; north on gravel road 1.2 miles to bridge.

The builder, J. P. Clark, provided the county with a single-span, flat-roofed bridge over the North River. The upper sections of the entrances cant outward to provide additional protection for the wood plank roadway.
