Conoco Service Station (Super Oil Company)

-A A +A
Super Oil Company
c. 1925. Northeast corner of 12th St. and Main St.
  • Conoco Service Station (Super Oil Company) (David Gebhard and Gerald Mansheim)

Two piers project upward and support the mansard roof covering the pump area. To each side are bays for serving the auto. What effectively captures one's attention is the sheathing of the complex in glassy glazed white brick, accentuated by rectangular geometric designs in dark-green glazed brick. The roof adds to the building's colorful presence with its bright green glazed Mission tile covering.
