A tall, lean Italianate brick house, this dwelling has contrasting wood and stone detailing in white. The low-pitched gable roofs have been raised up on a high entablature that contains horizontal oval windows between pairs of brackets. The ground-floor windows have been brought down to the floor, and the arched windows in some areas contrast with the flat-topped windows elsewhere. There is a classic Italianate second-floor balcony with cantilevered hood on the northwest side of the house. The base for what must have been (one assumes) a cupola exists where the ridges of the cross-gabled roofs converge.
