Clarion Meat Lockers

-A A +A
c. 1960. Main St. at 2nd Ave. S.E.

Adjacent to the impressive industrial image of the Cargill Feed Plant is a small single-story building with a hoop-shaped metal roof. Above the entrance canopy stands a sculpture of a steer, signaling the building's use as a place to store frozen meat. The wall behind the animal has been painted with a scene of an Iowa farm, red barn and all.
