People's Bank Building

-A A +A
1980, Flinn-Saite-Andersen. 419 W. 4th St.

Here one encounters historicism of a classical sort, coupled with the fashionable barrel-vaulted glass roof found in so many projects of the late 1970s and 1980s. The building's broken stepped design scales it well for its corner site, even though the proportions and detailing seem almost purposely awkward.
