The simple, one-story, wood-frame, hipped-roof Craftsman summer chapel is at Shorewood. The resort community was planned by John Alvord in 1902 in a naturalistic manner to follow the hills and dunes for vacationers from Oak Park, Illinois, and Lawrence, Kansas.
