This large, dark orange brick structure houses the police and fire departments for the city of over 10,000 inhabitants. Dominated by a bell-shaped cupola atop the central tower, the building sits on a side street at the north end of the shopping district. The municipal offices occupy the east wing of the three-bay building and are accessed from the facade facing north, while the police department offices are entered from the east side. The west wing accommodates emergency vehicles with three oversized garage doors. Pairs of round-arched windows line the second story of each wing. The central tower, a former hose tower, has no entrance from the street, and houses sirens at the top. Architects Edward Carlisle and Harry Sharrer also designed parts of the former Beaver County Courthouse demolished in 2000.
