The Richhill Agricultural Society has operated the Jacktown Fair, one of the oldest continuously running fairs in the country, since 1866. Their slogan, “You can't die happy, if you haven't been to the Jacktown Fair,” captures the fun of the July-held produce and livestock contests. The fairground's half-dozen buildings of various ages are grouped atop a hillside just west of the village of Wind Ridge (popularly called “Jacktown”). Two gable-roofed, white frame exhibition buildings from c. 1890 and c. 1920 and a small frame office at the gate were built to replicate the nineteenth-century style.
