Necho Allen Housing (Necho Allen Hotel)
Art Deco simplifications merged with English Regency connect Pottsville to modern urbanity in this midsized hotel that was the hallmark of the up-to-date small city of eastern Pennsylvania. Like the contemporary Eastonian (1926; 140 Northampton Street) in Easton, by the same architects, which has recently been restored as condominiums, this building fell victim to new patterns of travel and is now senior citizen housing.
