St. James United Methodist Church

Houston architect Chase designed this modern church for one of Beaumont's oldest African American congregations. Chase's exuberant sense of style is especially evident along the Blanchette Street frontage, where a long screen of obscured glass is subdivided by triangular wall panels surfaced with mosaic tile.
