The only campus building for a number of years, the Gothic Revival Old Main still dominates the campus at the head of a long, narrow quadrangle. Buff brick is articulated with corbeled courses, colonnettes, and limestone-trimmed walls that rise to steep, red tile roofs. The second floor was a large auditorium with a filigreed cathedral ceiling, unfortunately subdivided and obscured over the years.
