With its walls of Basse Brothers concrete blocks cast to imitate stone, this is one of the best-preserved commercial buildings on Main Street. The broad porch served to protect pedestrians and provided an outdoor living area for the residents above. The rather plain section to the east, clad in metal siding stamped in a rock-faced stone pattern, seems to have served as the warehouse for the store, a typical combination of functions.
