Suffolk Courts Complex

-A A +A
1996–1998, Moseley McClintock Group. 180 N. Main St. (southeast corner of Bank and Main sts.)

Designed by a firm that has specialized in Virginia court complexes, the building adds an impressive note to the street with an entrance pavilion that picks up on the design of the former Post Office. Overall, though, the postmodern overscaled moldings and trim seem jarring.
