The three-story Postmodern courthouse faced in cream and brown brick is entered through a slightly projecting portico with a high base supporting four columns set below a segmental-arched pediment with geometric motifs. The diminishing height of the horizontal elements as they ascend is an attempt to give the illusion of enhanced height to the horizontally oriented courthouse. A landscaped parking area in front of the courthouse replaces the traditional courthouse square.
