Wilkinson-Harrison Farm

-A A +A
Early 20th century; later additions. VA 650 at VA 701, 3.4 miles west of McKenney

Formerly a dairy and now a cattle and sheep farm, the complex has a collection of barns and silos dating from the first half of the twentieth century. The earlier concrete silos have metal domes, but one newer concrete model, probably dating from the late 1960s or early 1970s, has an open top with a mechanical feeding mechanism. The tile silo, probably from the Midwest, has lost its original dome. The smaller metal structures are feed hoppers set on struts.
