In this county of modest means, the elementary school is a particularly exciting building. Of dark brick alternating with light brick, this modern school has the predictable glass brick, skylights, and screen wall. But with its complex interlocked plan, unexpectedly projecting and dramatically reaching out, it is an architectural embodiment of education as an adventure.
