Construction of this county cottage has been described as a community effort. The county's Cherry River Boom and Lumber Company provided the spruce logs, and Webster County woodsmen assembled them. More than 600 Webster Countians attended the dedication ceremony. The cottage, a small-scale model of a house in Webster County built by the same contractor, has a log core with clapboarded wings and second story. Log posts support one of the camp's most expansive porches.
