West Branch

Though West Branch is not far distant from Iowa City and the University of Iowa, it still conveys an idea of what Iowa was like in the late nineteenth century. The Herbert Hoover National Historic Site is nearby, and within the town of West Branch itself are several small-town vernacular buildings.
