West Freemason Street

-A A +A

The West Freemason Street area was designated as the city's first historic district in 1971. One of the city's earliest elite residential areas, it has been successfully revitalized after a period of decline. In recent years the neighborhood has been a center for new residential construction, particularly around its once industrial fringes.
