Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad Station

-A A +A
1892–1893. South of 1st St. between State and Park streets

This small brick-and-stone building focuses attention on a two-story bay tower surmounted by a conical roof. The building's stone base is carried up to the window sills, and stone is used as a banding throughout the building. As to style, the building is a combination of Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque.
