  • Busse House (David Gebhard and Gerald Mansheim)

The plan of the Busse house, and of its neighbor the Rabe house, is typical of the bungalow. Bedrooms and bath are located on one side; living room, dining room, and kitchen are on the other. Instead of a single gable roof, as in the Rabe bungalow, the Busse house has a second gable facing the street; below this gable is the similarly pitched gable roof of the porch. The stucco walls of the front porch of the bungalow are low and curve up to the double wood posts supporting the porch roof.
