United States Courthouse and Post Office

The PWA Moderne style is presented here in cut gray stone and brick. The symmetrical design centers on a four-story pavilion that projects slightly forward from the building's main three-story block. The architects employed the usual fenestration associated with the style—rows of pilasters with recessed windows and spandrels between. The interior harks back to the Art Deco of the twenties with many surfaces of polished bronze and marble.
