1921, acquired; 1925, dedicated. Take US 169 south of Fort Dodge, 7.3 miles, then turn left (east) on Iowa 50 and travel 3 miles; turn left (north) on route D33 and drive .7 miles

Dolliver Memorial State Park, located on the west bank of the Des Moines River, is a park to be visited not only for its natural beauty but also for its rustic park architecture. The entrance kiosk to the park is a delightful circular building in stone. Its conical segmented roof sits like a light summer hat upon the thick masonry walls below. The interior, which measures 15.6 feet in diameter, is a single space dominated by a large fireplace. The kiosk is connected to the stone gateposts that define the entrance to the park. A similar entrance kiosk was built in the late 1920s at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park near Keosauqua.
