House

-A A +A
1002 7th St.

This is the quintessence of what we all think of when someone mentions a Queen Anne house. The expansive two-story dwelling and its wraparound first-floor porch are organized around a three-story octagonal bay tower with a spired roof. The delicate sawed and turned work of the porch and the appliqué of decorative wood on the wall surface suggest that the building is the most fragile of objects. Its current exterior color scheme of red, white, and blue enhances this feeling of lightness.
