Often times, as in the case of this small cottage, elaboration of detailing occurs regardless of the size of a building. Each end of the narrow front porch of this cottage turns 45 degrees, and the gabled ends of these projections provide the entrances to the house. The entablature and capitals of the porch columns are decorated with sawed and spindle work. Even the bargeboard of the house's main gable is decorated with thin raised paneling and rosettes.
