This meetinghouse was built by the original settlers of Vermontville. The meetinghouse's first story served as the church until the First Congregational Church ( EA7) opened in 1864; the second floor was used as a school. Clapboarding clads the exterior walls of the two-story, gabled, wood-frame buildings. These are pierced by twelve-over-twelve windows.
