Little White Chapel

The wedding chapel, on the north Strip amid a clutter of motels and fast-food restaurants, is itself unprepossessing, but it boasts a drive-up window. “Wedding windows” have become popular in Las Vegas in recent years. Couples in a hurry to marry pull up and push a button to call the minister. Speakers around the window broadcast music as the ceremony is performed. The bride and groom never have to leave their vehicle. Roadside signs prominently advertise the window, on the north side of the chapel, to motorists. A large gable with an open metal peak encompasses a series of three receding gables above a row of windows with large dome-shaped awnings. Abundant plants embellish the windows and the otherwise plain stucco facade. On the front is a gable with scalloped trim surmounted by a steeple outlined in neon.
