Christ Church, Ithan

-A A +A
c. 1885, 1919, Theophilus Parsons Chandler. 536 Conestoga Rd., 1.5 miles west of Villanova

Among the remarkable gems of the county is this small but splendid stone church whose tapering stone spire has the look of an English country church of the early Gothic era. Built of local gray marble, it has all the hallmarks of Chandler, who lived nearby in Ithan and who added the St. Martin's Chapel in 1919. Stained glass windows are by Willet Studios.
