Sterling Hall (Walter Sterling House)
If Philadelphian Sloan himself did not design this picturesque Italianate house with a lacy cast-iron porch by Robert Wood of Philadelphia and a cupola for viewing the river, then it was patently cribbed from design No. 44, “The Southern Mansion,” in his Model Architect (1852). The house is now a dormitory.
