Bungalow

-A A +A
c. 1915. 12 Tower St. (intersection of Tower St. and Ledward Ave.)

This is an exceptionally fine bungalow, with everything that a classic upscale New England bungalow should have: wide-clapboard walls, cobblestone chimneys and foundation, and spreading flank gable with trap-door dormer and revealed roof structure at the eaves, all fronted by a deep porch supported on Doric columns. Its exquisite maintenance is a mixed pleasure to the architectural tourist, because the house hides behind layers of clipped bushes.
