Historic King Johnston School

-A A +A
1930s. 1410 Wenonah Ave.

The federal government's Depression-era relief programs made a positive impact on the community with this finely crafted two-story secondary school. The Colonial Revival brick building has large sash windows, a central entrance, and classical trim. A small Colonial Revival domestic sciences building, an agricultural sciences building, and athletic facilities completed the campus. The complex remains in public use as a community center.
