Felix and Eliza Hull House

Constructed by a local builder for a county court justice, this is one of the county's finest antebellum houses. Combining elements of Greek Revival and Italianate, the two-story, Flemish bond brick house has a hipped roof above a bracketed cornice with drop finials and is crowned by a large cupola. A Tuscan-columned portico supports a balustraded balcony. The house was used as headquarters for Union brigadier general Robert C. Schenck during the Battle of McDowell on May 8, 1862.
