Expanded in a typically Southside way, this house features a secondary two-story addition set parallel to the original one-and-a-half-story frame house. The entrance, on the early section, is sheltered by a pedimented portico with four attenuated columns. The upper story is lit by two dormers, one above the entrance. Probably because of the influence of one of the master builders working out of Prince Edward County, the earlier section of the house was given architectural distinction by the addition of sidelights to a facade window.
