Twin Falls is one of West Virginia's three resort state parks established in the 1960s with funding from the federally sponsored Area Redevelopment Administration. TAC, the Cambridge, Massachusetts, architecture firm founded by Walter Gropius, planned and designed the park and its facilities, as well as those at Pipestem ( SU19) and Hawks Nest ( FY38). All three parks have golf courses, but Twin Falls has the added attraction of a restored pioneer homestead and farm.
