Commercial Building (Pulaski National Bank)

-A A +A
Pulaski National Bank
1917, Frye and Chesterman. 74 W. Main St.

On both sides of the old courthouse (PU2), the tree-lined block of Main Street is an almost unbroken display of late-nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century two-story brick commercial buildings. Although the lower floor of this former bank has been considerably altered, it has retained its corner entrance. The more intact second story with its three-part thermal windows and recessed panels below a bracketed cornice is a showcase of popular features in early-twentieth-century commercial architecture.
