The two-story building, 80 feet by 40 feet, has a reinforced-concrete frame with an exterior wall of rock-faced concrete blocks. The water table, doorway, and molded cornice and parapet were of smooth concrete. Behind the office building is the assay office, a one-story building constructed of the same rock-faced concrete blocks and trimmed with the same smooth concrete, giving a nod toward architectural refinement in spite of the coarse appearance of the utilitarian materials.
