One of Gaenslen's smaller designs, St. John's is a well-detailed brick basilican-plan church, with Romanesque-styled arches above all of the doors and windows and a corbeled brick cornice on the gabled facade. On the interior, the ceiling is supported by a series of wooden trusses.
