House

-A A +A
2005, Allen Bianchi. 5331 Cherokee St.

This deftly proportioned, two-story, white stucco–surfaced courtyard house combines internal transparency and external privacy. It is an architectural gateway to the Cherokee Addition, constructing a defined edge along a busy side street without overwhelming the lot as other new replacement houses have tended to do in this 1920s neighborhood.
