Small House and Studio

-A A +A
2003, 2005, M+A Architecture Studio. 5910 Grace Ln.

Mark Schatz and Anne Eamon began the design and construction of the two-story, seven-hundred-square-foot Small House soon after graduating from architecture school. Despite its compressed size, this two-story house of concrete block, cementitious panels, and corrugated metal is activated with offset massing and an asymmetrically curved roof. The adjoining studio—where Schatz and Eamon have their architectural practice—was designed to function as a workplace or as a dwelling.
