Nance-Jones House

-A A +A
1910. 426 E. Johnston Ave.

The one-story, side-gabled Craftsman dwelling with partial wraparound porch illustrates the bungalow house type that was popular throughout the city. It stands as one of the few intact remnants of the historic Cupid's Addition (bounded by S. 6th and S. 10th streets and E. King and E. Doddridge avenues) that was built for the city's new managerial class in the southeast quadrant near the railroad and the shopping district.
