San Antonio–based Dielmann designed a number of Catholic churches throughout Central Texas in the first decades of the twentieth century. This red brick Renaissance Revival church, which replaced the 1904 church that burned in 1927, is strikingly different from his typical Gothic Revival stone designs. A monumental pedimented porch supported by four Tuscan columns fronts the two-story building.
